AT THE CIRCUIT

Here are some practical tips to help you stay worry-free throughout race weekend, so you can fully enjoy the on-track action.

FOOD AND DRINK

Refreshment bars are conveniently located in the various spectator areas of the Interlagos circuit.

Please remember that you are not allowed to bring your drinks to the circuit, as well as you can bring up to 3 pieces of food per person.

COMMUNICATIONS

Before you head out to the circuit, make sure you have all the information you need saved on your phone; from tickets to maps and information about your favourite driver. There is a risk that the mobile networks may be overloaded at the circuit and you may not have a data connection, especially on Sundays.

So, you may not be able to call your friends. If you want to meet anyone on Sunday, always arrange a time and place to meet beforehand. Just like in the old days when there were no mobile phones.

NOISE

Don't forget that motorsport is very noisy. While the noise is tolerable in the normal stands, make sure you wear earplugs if you're closer to the track. If you're travelling with children, make sure they have ear protectors.

WEATHER

In June, São Paulo experiences the cooler, mild days of winter in the southern hemisphere. Daytime temperatures usually range from 20 to 23°C (68 to 73°F), while nights drop to a brisk 11 to 13°C (52 to 55°F). Rainfall is sparse, making this one of the city's driest months, with just the occasional light shower. Humidity sits between 70 to 80 per cent, though the lower temperatures keep it fairly comfortable. Light to moderate breezes add a touch of chill, particularly in the evenings. Layered clothing is recommended for adapting to the changing temperatures throughout the day.
